  Ledgeview History

Wally and Jane Shamenski, and their children, Robbin and Ross fulfilled their dream to build a golf course. The first nine holes opened on July 26, 1962 and the second nine in 1969.

In March, 1974, the golf course was purchased from the Shamenski's and the members formed Ledgeview Properties Ltd. In February, 1976, the members registered Ledgeview as a Society in order to sell shares and debentures.

In 1980, the course was sold to Matsqui Municipality and has now become one of the most prestigous recreational properties owned by the City of Abbotsford.
