Ledgeview Golfers on the Leaderboard

Abbotsford golfers made themselves at home near the top of the leaderboard at the B.C. Amateur in Parksville last week.

Adam Hadwin finished in second place in the tournament, trailing the winner, Mitch Gillis by just two strokes. Hadwin, who attends the University of Louisville, shot rounds of 68, 67, 70, & 70, for a four round total of 275 for the event.

Defending provincial and national junior champ Nick Taylor (68-70-71-71, 280) finished in seventh place, Kevin Stinson (73-69-72-69, 283) in ninth, Lucas Bogdan (75-68-71-75, 289) tied for 19th, Kevin Spooner (71-71-73-77, 292) in 33rd place and Josh Taylor (73-69-80-75, 297) was tied for 45th.

Ledgeview wins club championship ,

The Taylor brothers, Nick and Josh, also led Ledgeview to the Club Championship at the B.C. Amateur. Nick, who plays collegiately for the University of Washington, and Josh, who golfs for the University of Texas at El Paso, shot a combined best ball of eight under par to secure the win. The Ledgeview duo edged the Marine Drive team by three shots, and finished ahead of big-city clubs like Shaughnessy and Capilano.
