Brett Webster of Abbotsford and Mitchell Lock of Mission struck gold in Mexico this week at the International Junior Golf Team Invitational Tournament.

Webster and Lock were part of the Maple Leaf Junior Tour's Team Canada squad, which successfully defended its title from last year with a two-point victory in the unique match play format. The tourney was held at Club de Golf Santa Fe in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

Teams representing Canada, the United States, Mexico and Guatemala played best ball matches in the first round, alternate shot on the second, and singles matches in the third and final round.

The event celebrated youth, sport and cultural diversity, and was covered by Fox Sports in Mexico.
