Ledgeview Juniors Tee It Up
at the Canadian Junior Championships

And Nick Taylor is the new Canadian Junior Champion
On August 6-10, 2006, four Ledgeview juniors competed in the Canadian Junior Golf Championships at the Sussex Golf & Curling Club in Sussex, New Brunswick.

Our four members included Lucas Bogden, Ian Mulder, Nick Taylor, and Brent Webster.

Our juniors put on an exceptional performance, and Nick Taylor was the run-away winner, finishing 11 shots ahead of the second place competitor.

Congratulations Nick. The members and staff at Ledgeview are very proud of all four of our junior golfers.

Final Round Summary:      (Aug. 10/2006)

With four rounds now completed in the Canadian Junior Boys Championship, Nick Taylor has run away from the field and is the New Canadian Junior Champion. He bested his nearest competitor, Rafael Lee of Burnaby BC by 11 shots. Today, Nick shot an even par round of 70 for a four round total of 282. His nearest competitor Rafael Lee shot a 69, for a 293 total.

Other Ledgeview golfers include Lucas Bogden who shot 72 today, for a four round total of 301, Brett Webster shot 72 for a 307 total, and Ian Mulder shot 76 for a 319 total.

Round Three Summary:      (Aug. 09/2006)

After three rounds of the Canadian Junior Boys Championship, Nick Taylor extended his lead to 7 shots over his nearest competitor, Matt Hill of Brights Grove Ontario. Today, Nick shot two over par 72 for a three round total of 212. His nearest competitor Matt Hill shot a 74, for a 219 total.

Other Ledgeview golfers include Lucas Bogden who shot 74 today, for a three round total of 229, Brett Webster shot 75 for a 235 total, and Ian Mulder shot 74 for a 243 total.

Round Two Summary:      (Aug. 08/2006)

After two rounds of the Canadian Junior Boys Championship, Nick Taylor still holds a 5 shot lead over his nearest competitor, Matt Hill of Brights Grove Ontario. Today, Nick shot a round of one under par 69 to retain the lead.

Other Ledgeview golfers include Lucas Bogden who shot 74 today, for a two round total of 155, Brett Webster who shot a second consecutive 80 for a 160 total, and Ian Mulder who shot 80 for a 169 total.

Round One Summary:      (Aug. 07/2006)

After round one of the Canadian Junior Boys Championship, Nick Taylor from our own Ledgeview Golf & Country Club holds a 5 shot lead. Nick shot a one over par 71 to lead the field. His next closest competitor shot a 6 over par 76.

The Sussex Golf & Curling Club proved to be very difficult because of extremely high winds, and no one broke par on the 6400 yard par 70 layout.

Other Ledgeview golfers struggled, as Brett Webster shot 80 and is tied in 27th place, Lucas Bogden shot 81and is in 38th place, and Ian Mulder shot 89 and is in a group tied in 127th place.
