Josh Taylor & James Allenby win the
BC Match Play Amateur Team Championship
|
On Sunday, April 30th, Josh Taylor from our own Ledgeview Golf Club & James
Allenby from Royalwood teamed together to win the BC Match Play Amateur Team
Championship. The tournament was sponsored by Riverside Golf Centers, and the
Billy Thompson Trophy, one of the oldest regularly presented golf trophies in
BC, was awarded to the winners.
The finals were played on the Ridge Course, at Northview where Josh & James
held off Bill Wilms & Joe Zerdin, defeating them 3&2 to capture the trophy.
Allenby and Taylor are both 21 years of age and showing signs of creating
outstanding careers for themselves in golf as amateurs or professionals when
they are ready.
