2010 Order of Merit



This is our version of the FedEx Cup! It's a fun way of rewarding participation and good play in Club tournaments.

After the completion of each tournament that is eligible for the Order of Merit , points are awarded based on the results. Simply completing the event gets you 100 points. If you finish in the top 10 on either the gross or net side, you will get additional points . Players are awarded points for their best placing in either gross or net, but not both.

Order of Merit points double for the Spring & Fall Classics and the Club Championships.

After the last eligible tournament (Fall Classic, Sep11-12), the top 8 (and ties) from each of the Men's and Ladies division will qualify for an 18-hole playoff on Saturday, September 18th to determine the final standings. First place fininshers the Men's and Ladies divisions will receive a trophy plus other prizes TBD. Second and third place finishers in both divisions will also receive prizes TBD.

The more tournaments you play in, the better your chances of finishing in the top 3 Order of Merit!

  • 100 points are automatically awarded for completing the event regardless of result
  • Players awarded additional points for their best position in EITHER gross or net, but NOT BOTH
For example...
  • If you finish 1st in either gross or net for any event other than the Classics or Club Championships, you earn:
    100 points (for completing) + 350 points (for finishing 1st) = 450 points total
  • If you finish 10th in either gross or net for any event other than the Classics or Club Championships, you earn:
    100 points (for completing) + 100 points (for finishing 10th) = 200 points total
  • If you finish no better than 10th in either gross or net for any event other than the Classics or Club Championships, you earn:
    100 points (for completing) = 100 points total
  • If you finish 1st in the Classics or Club Championships, you earn:
    200 points (for completing) + 700 points (for finishing 1st) = 900 points total
  • If you finish 10th in the Classics or Club Championships, you earn:
    200 points (for completing) + 200 points (for finishing 10th) = 400 points total
  • If you finish no better than 10th in the Classics or Club Championships, you earn:
    200 points (for completing) = 200 points total
